On my business trip to Nicaragua and El Salvador my wife and me used some precious vacation days to explore Belize. Belize actually has everything you can ask for: Jungles where Jaguars roam, ,mysterious Maya ruins and, above all, the mysterious Blue Hole. While snorkelling off the tiny island town of Caye Caulker with its sunset reggae vibe and sandy pathways we were first surrounded only by an army of colourful fish – suddenly by dozens of tourists. My first underwater traffic jam ever. Three cruise ships had simultaneously casted their anchor.
