I very much like Danish author Hans Christian Andersen’s bonmot: Life itself is the world’s most beautiful fairytale. For me it’s simply too cold between the North and the Baltic Sea to rightly call Denmark a fairytale destination. However, I love its great food, the island of Fanø (with beaches as beautiful as Sylt’s but luckily without the requirement of owning a Porsche), its Danish design and Danish dynamite – and of course the country within Denmark: Legoland. It to forget its two island ranking high on my bucket list and definitely can turn Denmark into a fairytale destination: Greenland and Faroe Islands.
